Ratana Chuenpagdee

Ratana is the Canada Research Chair in Natural Resource Sustainability and Community Development in the Department of Geography at Memorial University. With background in marine science, fishery management and resource economics, fishery biology, and environmental studies, Ratana has been interested in interdisciplinary research, particularly in the integration of natural and social sciences to address resource management issues. In 1999, Ratana established and is co-director of the ‘Coastal Development Centre’ in Bangkok, Thailand.

Kelly Vodden

Kelly is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Memorial University. She also serves as a Research Associate and advisor to Municipalities of Newfoundland and Labrador and a board member with the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation. Kelly’s research and publication relate to sustainable community and regional development, with a focus on rural, coastal, often natural resource-dependent communities.

Nina Mitchelmore

Nina is the Regional Planner for the St Anthony – Port au Choix Region of the provincial Rural Secretariat.
